Has anyone asked you to say "Park the car in the yard" before? *Eyes tear up as he resites the line himself* "Pahk.. Da cah... In da yahd.."

Right on the outskirts near two little towns called Norton (Which I hear is a crap hole) & Attleboro. I would rather live in the center of the city, but I still get along fine right here (And we still have some wilderness on the outskirt).

Yes I have heard of it...It is in Oakland County I believe. Michigan is a decent state. I like the 4 seasons. "UP North" is where it is at.

Romans. It was the capital of Roman Britain (she says as if she had anything to do with it ) Any town with "Chester" on the end was a Roman town. It's the Roman word FOR town or.. it means town in Roman, I dunno.
Colchester is filled with Roman walls, half the town center is built on them.
Many people think that Colchester Castle is Roman. Totally wrong, you can tell just by looking at it. The actual truth is there was a Roman Temple built on that site, Temple of Claudius. If you go down into the dungeons of the Castle, you can see the remains.
The Castle on top was built by the Normans, which still makes it a good 1000 years old or so.
Colchester was attacked by Boudica as well, she was Queen of the Iceni or something? Bah I dunno. Anyway, Colchester was founded a Roman Town but it's also been Anglo Saxon, Norman and took part in the English Civil War.
Lol, I've been to the museum and on the tour MANY times and unlike most people my age, I actually enjoy the History and I'm very proud of it.
Colchester Castle is the largest building of it's age and type in Europe. I know I was born here by chance but, well.. I'm patriotic to my town.
By the way.. the rest of the town's a sh*t hole
Edit:
-----
Oh, by the way. Recent discovery in Colchester. People in the Uk might know Colchester is a barracks town. What does that mean? Well, after Dover it means we'll be the first to be bombed by anyone coming in from Europe.
Also means the town's full of arrogant 18 year old squaddies.
Anyway back to the point. I used to go Horse Riding at the Barracks untill I had to give it up cos of my joints, but when I've driven past it, I noticed the paddocks were all dug up.
Reason? Well, they've found the remains of a HUGE Roman Chariot Stadium. It was on Tv. My Uncle went to see it lol. They made a Chariot and raced it around the track which they had plotted out. It's really big and I think it's kinda cool that we had Chariot Racing in Colchester
P.s. Great Britain has a really interesting History. It goes back thousands of years and although it's mandatory for us lot to know it (I did the Romans at primary school), anyone who's interested in History should look us up.
